So little time to see everything...

Since Brittnee goes to Columbia we decided to take a detour through it.

This is a cool building near Columbia that it really creepy...

Butler Library

This library is in the Spiderman movie!
Columbia Law Building

I love these stands they are all over the city. For five bucks you can have some yummy chicken and rice.
One of the coolest things I have ever seen and I don't know why I didn't think of it first. This is a Barbie Foosball Table and yes those are all Barbie's that have had their arms and feet cut off. Look at the price tag.....$25,000 who would honestly pay that much for a Foosball table comprised of Barbies...

I love FAO Schwarz it is a great place where you can spend a couple of hours and be glad I don't have kids because everything costs so much money and I would want to buy everything so that I could play with it!
This is made all out of lego's. I really don't know how people have the patience for this kind of stuff and the skill. I wouldn't even know where to start when putting one of these together.
The world is at my fingertips! I wanted to take this globe home with me.

All of our visitors! Stacie, Susan, Kim and Steph!
My mother and I behind us is NYC!

All of us walked across the Brooklyn Bridge it only took us about 30 minutes to cross the whole thing and the view of NYC at night is beautiful.

Visitors have arrived....FINALLY!

My Mom, Susan, Kim and Steph came to visit my cousin and I and they pretty much took over our family room! They arrived Friday night and by night I mean my Mom, Susan, and Steph got here around 10pm and Kim got here at 12am and by the time I eventually went to sleep it was 2 in the morning!! I was a very exhausted girl they wore me out.

Steph, Stacie, Kim if you can't tell they are sisters :) My mommy is so cute!! I love her and I want her back ASAP!

Got to love SOHO....you can always find very random things here and this lovely display is in the MAC store. All their stores are themed in NYC, so every time you go into one it becomes a random experience.

Another great thing about SOHO is that you can usually see someone famous or so I have been told. While at the Scholastic Store we saw Andrew Shue was played Billy Campell in Melrose Place (green shirt). My mom spotted him and I took this picture with my phone instead of my camera, so I wasn't too obvious about trying to get a picture of him.
Of course the people selling stuff knew they were tourists and of course they bought the pamphlets, but they were actually very informative about 9/11.

This is where the World Trade Centers were. I came here a year ago and it looks the same as it did then still under construction. You can't really see anything because it is surrounded by fencing so you can't see any of the progress that is being made on the memorial and I sure hope there is progress. I don't know when it will be done, but I am sure it will be gorgeous.
I just hope it is done in my lifetime :)

It has been almost TEN YEARS since 9/11 happened. I still can't believe that I was 14 years old waiting in my French class for my teacher when he walks in very silent and solemn and turns on the TV... minutes later we watched as another plane hits one of the towers. I was so young and had never heard of the towers before. When we were there it is sad to see such a large empty space because in NYC no space is wasted.
Wouldn't she look GORGEOUS in this!?! Especially with the pink shoes.

So many gorgeous buildings to look at! I love Downtown.

I have seen this sculpture many times and my only thought about it was that I couldn't understand why they haven't fixed it. I learned after seeing where the World Trade Centers use to be that this piece named the "sphere" was commissioned by the owner of the World Trade Centers.  It was recovered from the rubble near the WTC's and was brought to Battery Park as a memorial for the victims of 9/11. I got all this from the pamphlets that my mother bought because she can't say no to people.

Susan is worn out as well and frozen...

A gorgeous view to end the FREEZING COLD day!

Staten Island Ferry

The weekend I went and did the Staten Island Ferry. It is free and the ferry comes every thirty minutes and takes you to Staten Island and back. The views from the ferry are gorgeous and we went before sunset, so I was able to get some great pictures with the Statue of Liberty in the foreground.

South Ferry

MANHATTAN

This is a hot guy that worked on the ferry and yes I am sure he totally knew that I was trying to get a picture of him, but it was totally worth it.
LOTS of wind...
See BEAUTIFUL!

We went here for dessert I got a cupcake and everyone else got pie. Everything was really good and I highly recommend!
After we had dessert we went to dinner at the Trailer Park Bar/Lounge....and yes the decor is everything you would find in a trailer park. There is so many great things to look at and I loved it!!
Yes....that is a trailer in the background.
Irasema, Brittnee, and Devan the only guy poor thing. By the end of the night all of the girls were a little crazy and he was a trooper and just let us drag him along to wherever we wanted to go.

Abby, Me, Alexia, Nikki

This was part of the decor and yes that is a pregnant lady in slippers having a cigarette... Lots of great stuff to look at there.

Girl Power!

I wanted to start out with a picture of this house that is near where I use to nanny and is right behind one of Kayla's friends house. This sucker is HUGE! I am glad that the leaves are gone or all you would be able to see is a lot of leaves. I can't imagine what the inside looks like. One of my favorite parts about living where I did was looking at all the HUGE houses. That is one of the only reasons I miss having a car I don't get to look at all the pretty houses.

For four days last week I got to watch my girls I used to nanny! It brought back the good old days that is for sure. Maddie is in the school play and they are doing Peter Pan. These kids practice everyday for two weeks and I remember it from last year when they did the Sound of Music. I can't believe how good it was and how well everyone knew their lines in such a short amount of time. I will say this though. Kayla was Maria and I seriously never want to hear that music EVER AGAIN. That is all I heard for two weeks straight and it got old really fast.

Maddie takes TKD and isn't she the cutest little purple belt you have ever seen!

Master Chung setting up the obstacle course for the kids to do. Look at all the kids up against the glass. The teachers are seriously saints. I don't know how they deal with all these 5-7 year olds and keep them entertained for an hour and a half.

Tayla, Kate, Rachel, Michelle, Peri, Olivia
Don't these girls look hot! The girls had a dance last Friday night. They were all going to get ready at Peri's house (Peri lives by Alex Rodriguez aka A-Rod) and I told them they needed to get ready at Liv's because I don't get to see them enough, so they all came over. Most of these girls practically lived at the house while I was there. Tayla and Peri I even consider my 4th and 5th child because they were around so much that I might as well of been their nannies! I can't believe how much they have grown and all of them are 16 or turning 16 this year. TIME is flying by pretty soon they will be going to college and getting married and I am going to feel like an old maid!
Tayla and Olivia

My twins...
Maddie and Kayla
Love these girls!
So of course when I leave they start getting all these fun adult toys to play with! I seriously left like two weeks after the pool wasfinished. Now they have a pool table and ping pong! Ping pong is really fun even though I am terribly lacking in talent to the point of it being embarrassing.

Maddie is even better than me even though that isn't saying much.
