Regis & Kelly - Taylor Lautner

Yea.. we went again.  Regis is leaving in November so why not!

I can't believe that he is leaving even though I don't blame him.  I just can't wait to see who they get to replace him.  I hope it is someone cute :)  Kelly and Regis have such great chemistry I hope he comes back and visits from time to time since he lives right by the studio.

You can't really see Kelly's shoes, but they were AMAZING! I loved them and want some even though I would only be able to wear them for about fifteen minutes before the pain started.  Beauty does pinch and in NY high heels just aren't practical!

He is beautiful.  I know he isn't some people's cup of tea, but really he is even more gorgeous in person.  It still feels a little surreal that I saw him.  I kind of want to see Abduction now, but I will have to see what people think before I spend $14 to see him.  This was free and he was physically there so $14 seems a little steep.

Clip from the show.

Minka Kelly was also a guest on the show.  She is in a new TV series Charlie's Angels.  She is gorgeous, but I felt like it was like pulling teeth trying to get her to say something interesting or worth listening to.

Celine Dion was also on the show, but she had been previously taped the week before.  There were some older ladies in the audience that were not happy about that!

I love going to Regis & Kelly it is such a fun experience and I can't wait to go again.  Who knows who I will see next!

9/11 Battery Park Memorial

For three decades "The Sphere" stood in the plaza of the World Trade Center.  Now it is in Battery Park as a memorial to 9/11.  I can't believe it has been ten years.

I was 14 when it happened and sitting in my French class waiting for my French teacher to show up.  When he did come into the classroom he was very somber and went straight to the front of the classroom and turned on the TV to the news.  I had never heard of the twin towers before and as I watched the plane hit the second tower I had no idea what was happening and still don't know why it did.

This is a beautiful city that has had much loss and I never imagined I would be living in NYC ten years later.
I work near Battery Park and so one day when I went to work I noticed that there were flags everywhere!  So I went to take a look at them.
The flags fill the entire grass area of the park.
The stripes are made from the names of the victims of 9/11. So pretty! I hope that the flags are given away and they are put to good use.

They also had flags of different countries surrounding the memorial flags.  Very subtle and I believe a nice tribute.

Fire Island

I went to Fire Island in Long Island on Labor Day it took us about two hours to get there on three types of transportation and lets say it was quite an interesting day!

We took the subway than these really cool trains that have an upstairs and downstairs!

Next, we had the ferry ride which I really enjoyed.  The breeze was nice and I haven't been on a boat in awhile so it was nice to just relax and enjoy my surroundings for thirty minutes.

We arrived!  There is a light house there and I have never been to one before so we decided to take a trek down to it...and it was a lot farther away than it looks especially when you are walking in sand to get there.
Almost there...
We made it!
So pretty and it is a lot bigger than I pictured it.  Lighthouses are so interesting to me because they have been around for so many years and still are used.
Brittnee and I outside the lighthouse.
They had a museum in the house outside the lighthouse.  We didn't go up to the top because it cost seven bucks, but eventually I will make the plunge and spend the money to go up to the top and look at the view.
Hurricane takes huge toll...
This is the first Order Fresnel Lens from 1858. It weighs 4 tons and the height of the lens is 8 and a half feet and cost $15,000 to make.

Naked side of the beach!
We saw this a little too late. It made the day very interesting and I wish that 40-60 year old men did not feel the need to be naked it just isn't right!
Our spot on the beach.  We had a lot of space to ourselves because we were so close to the naked people!

His wonderful sandcastle....not sure what it is though.
I LOVE MATTHEW BOMER!!!!!!!  The beach is always fun and I am glad I went.  The weather wasn't too hot either so that was nice and there were a lot of clouds so of course like an idiot I didn't wear a lot of sunscreen and well I am peeling like crazy and it is soooo annoying! I will never learn.

Roosevelt Island Tram

Took a ride on the Roosevelt Tram that takes you to Roosevelt Island.  It was really cool and I think they should have more of these throughout the city.  It is a fun way to travel and you get to enjoy the view.

So pretty!
